MEDITATION

Tracey is the editor of Frame magazine, a bimonthly bible about Interior Design. She will use her Mutewatch to meditate.

My dad is half buddist half Hindu and (among a million other people) a key to why I’m here today.

He’s constantly pumped we with wisdom my whole life. One of the things he quite often has said is ” Remember that you can only be truly happy in this second, you can learn from the past and plan for the future but always remember to try to catch this very second”.

I guess I’m the perfect target group of Mutewatch, and accordingly why I feel so passionate about making Mutewatch reality.

It really warms my heart to hear about how more and more of my creative (and super-ambitious) friends are using Mutewatch for meditation and/or Pomodoro Technique. The silent timer on Mutewatch is a great tool for this.
In a world with information overload- mindfulness is the key to stress-free productivity and happiness.

A friend, Alex Sun, once said: “Mai-Li you know what they say. Meditate 30 minutes every day, if you don’t have time- mediate 1 hour”.
A part of my life goal is to bring the things my dad told me to the world. (do I have to add that he himself doesn’t use a cell phone and is only check his email once a month..). This because I understand that there are many people out there who didn’t have the gift of a dad like him.

Next week I will be staring at water trying to learn how to surf with friends in Biarritz. To say that I’m not excited would be a understatement. With a million things on my mind every day I imagine that skiing or surfing, or anything that has with nature and physical performance, being the perfect way to be mindful during your vacation.

In the meantime I will dream about having an editor (or at least more time) for Timetank in the future. We started this blog to make the link between the mission of Mutewatch “make yourself mindful” and the physical product more clear but I’m deadly aware how little time we have for Timetank. This even if it is, according to me, maybe even more important than the physical product.
Thank you all, thank you dad- I hope you are enjoying the summer <3

Mai-Li
